Tao is a senior research engineer at an AI lab, where he focuses on bioinformatics and biomedical image analysis algorithms.
Tao won 11 gold medals in Kaggle, including the 2019 RSNA AI challenge. He currently holds his highest world ranking yet: 8 out of more than 145,000 competitors worldwide. He has also been invited to speak at Kaggle Days China, a series of non-profit events for experienced data scientists.
When he’s not working, you’ll find him shooting hoops at a basketball court.
What can you now do on a Z that you couldn’t do before?
I can train heavy deep learning models, which is something I couldn’t do before.
What is the next thing you want to learn or experiment with on your Z?
I’d like to try deep reinforcement learning.
